Step 1: Access Organization-Wide App Settings
Click on the "Actions" on the top right corner
Select "Org-wide app settings" from the dropdown menu
Step 2: Enable Custom Apps
In the org-wide settings panel, locate the Custom apps section
Check if the Custom apps toggle is enabled (on)
This setting is typically enabled by default
If the toggle is off, click to turn it on
Click Save to apply the changes
People in your organization can now find and install the Axiamatic app from the Teams app store. Click here to know more about app management
Org-wide app settings control whether users in your tenant can interact with custom apps, and they supersede Permission Policies. For Axiamatic to work as intended, the Interaction with custom apps must be On (this is the case by default). Even with this setting, you can use App Permission Policies (discussed next) to have full control over which custom apps your users can interact with.
Managing app access (optional)
Managing app access (optional)
As an admin, you can use app permissions to control the apps that are available to each user in your organization. By default, Microsoft Teams allows everyone in your organization to access custom apps, which is the expected configuration for most Axiamatic customers.
If you need to limit access to specific people or groups, follow these steps:
Step 1: Locate the Axiamatic App
From the Manage apps page, find "Axiamatic" in the apps table
Click on the app name to open its details
Step 2: Access Permission Settings
In the app details view, navigate to the Users & groups tab
Step 3: Configure Access Restrictions
Click Edit availability to modify access permissions
Select the option that meets your requirements:
Everyone - All people in your organization (recommended)
Specific users or groups - Limited to selected people/teams
No one - Blocks access entirely
If selecting specific users or groups, choose the appropriate individuals or teams
Step 4: Save Changes
Click Apply to save your access configuration
The new permissions will take effect immediately
Access management complete! The Axiamatic app permissions are now configured according to your organization's requirements.

Automatic installation and pinning (recommended)
Automatic installation and pinning (recommended)
App setup policies allow you to automatically install and pin Axiamatic for people in your organization, significantly improving adoption and ease of use. Click here to know about user app set up policies.
Benefits of setup policies:
Apps are automatically installed for team members
Pinned apps appear prominently in the Teams sidebar
Reduces friction and promotes consistent usage
Step 1: Access Setup Policies
In the Microsoft Teams Admin Center, navigate to Teams apps in the left sidebar
Click Setup policies
Step 2: Choose Your Deployment Method
You have two options for deploying Axiamatic:
Option A: Global Installation (Recommended)
Best for: Organizations where all team members will eventually use Axiamatic
Step 3: Search for "Axiamatic" and select it
Step 4: Click Add to include it in the global policy
Click Save to apply changes
Optional - Pin the app: In the Pinned apps section, click Add apps
Search for "Axiamatic" and select it to pin it to the sidebar
Note: Even with global installation, people can only use Axiamatic functionality after being provisioned access. This approach reduces administrative overhead when onboarding new team members.
Option B: Custom Policy for Specific Groups
Best for: Organizations with selective Axiamatic deployment
Step 1: Click Add to create a new custom policy
Step 2: Enter the details
Name: Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Axiamatic Team Policy")
Description: Add details about the policy's purpose
Step 3: In the Installed apps section, click Add apps
Step 4: Click Add to include it in the policy
Step 5: Optional - Pin the app (same steps as in option A)
Click Save to create the policy
Step 6: Apply the new Custom Policy (applicable for Option B Only)
Setup complete! Axiamatic will now be automatically installed (and optionally pinned) for the designated team members.
