Connecting Microsoft Planner to Axiamatic allows the platform to retrieve your task and planning data securely, based on the access granted by your Microsoft 365 administrator. Once connected, you can configure Axiamatic to look into specific plans across your organization, ensuring it surfaces only the most relevant information to produce the best results.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
Enterprise Admin or Integrations Admin permissions in Axiamatic — required to access the Integrations page.
Tenant ID from your Microsoft Azure portal. (See How to get your Azure Tenant ID below if you're not sure where to find this.)
Step 1: Log in to Axiamatic
Log in to your Axiamatic account with your credentials.
Step 2: Open Settings and Integrations
Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of the page. From the menu, select 'Program Settings', then open the 'Integrations' section.
Step 3: Connect to Microsoft Planner
On the Integrations page, locate the Microsoft Planner integration card and click Connect.
Step 4: Choose Shared or Private Connection
When prompted, select how you want to scope this connection.
Shared Connection: Makes this Microsoft Planner connection available to all current and future projects or business units using Axiamatic in your workspace. This is the recommended option for most teams.
Private Connection: Limits this Microsoft Planner connection to the current project or account only. Future projects will need their own separate connection.
Choose the option that best fits how your organization manages projects and data.
Step 5: Enter Your Tenant ID
A pop-up will appear asking for your Microsoft Tenant ID. Enter your Tenant ID and click Connect to complete the setup.
Once the connection succeeds, the Microsoft Planner card in Axiamatic will show a Connected status, confirming the integration is ready to use.
This connection is handled securely. Your credentials are not stored by Axiamatic.

Step 6: Select Your Microsoft Account and Request Admin Approval
A Microsoft window will open. If you have access to multiple Microsoft accounts, you will be asked to select the account you want to connect to Axiamatic. If you only have one account, this screen will be skipped.
You will then be taken to a screen to send an approval request to your Microsoft 365 admin. This is required the first time your organization connects Axiamatic to Microsoft Planner.
Submit the request and wait for your admin to approve it. Approval times vary by organization.
Your admin will receive the request in the Microsoft Entra admin center and via email. Once they approve it, you will be notified and can proceed to complete the connection.
Step 7: Reconnect After Approval
Once your admin has approved the request:
Return to Axiamatic and go back to Program Settings → Integrations.
On the Microsoft Planner card, click Connect again.
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 (choose your connection type and enter your Tenant ID).
This time, you will not be asked to request admin approval again. The connection will complete directly. The Microsoft Planner card in Axiamatic will show a Connected status, confirming the integration is ready to use.
Step 8: Select Your Plans
With the integration connected, the final step is to tell Axiamatic which of your Microsoft Planner plans to look into.
In the left navigation, click on the Channels tab, located just below the Integrations tab.
Find the Microsoft Planner card and click Select Plan.
A pop-up will appear with a dropdown. Before making a selection, click the Refresh button to fetch the latest data from your Microsoft Planner.
Select a Group from the dropdown.
Once a group is selected, you can choose one or more Plans within that group that you want Axiamatic to retrieve data from.
Click Save to apply your selection.
Axiamatic will now pull in data from your selected plans and use it to produce the best results.
Integration complete! Microsoft Planner is now fully connected and configured in Axiamatic.
